Classes

The hero begins as a trainee and makes a permanent class choice at the Crossroads. Choosing a class keeps earned level, XP, skills, and adventure progress, and adds a stat profile, starter gear, and a graduation talent pick.

The four classes Implemented

The four class students introduce the disciplines during Academy Chapter V, before the choice. The selected class also determines the first road and the initial home Area. The wider story is designed so a hero can visit all four Areas, rather than being confined to one region. That wider navigation is not finished. See the world.

ClassStyleEquipment identityAssociated Area
Fighter Hold the line. Endure blows, pressure a marked enemy, and control close combat. Longsword and shield. Heavy mail and plate. Stonefall
Ranger Strike from the edge of the road. Hunt a quarry and use ranged pressure. Longbow and hunting knife. Leathers and a cloak. Eldergreen
Rogue Find the gap. Act quickly and exploit positioning and vulnerable targets. Twin daggers. Soft leather. Sunreach
Sorcerer Let the ley answer. Direct magical attacks and manage spell resources. A flame-focusing staff. Light robes. Arcadia

Class selection is permanent for that hero. Later heroes can explore other classes after the roster requirements are met. There is no class-change service in the current build.

Powers, passives, and feats

Class definitions contain level-based grant ladders. A hero receives the grants earned at their character level, including earlier grants when they choose a class after levelling as a trainee.

Examples in the authored ladders include Fighter techniques such as Cleave and Action Surge; Ranger techniques such as Ensnaring Strike and Cure Wounds; Rogue strikes such as Deft Strike and Dazing Strike; and Sorcerer spells such as Burning Hands, Magic Missile, and Fireball.

These names describe the class catalog. They are not a promise that every named power is available at graduation, or that every later-level power is fully implemented. A power can sit in a future level’s definition while it still awaits battle support.

Loadouts Implemented

A hero can equip up to four eligible active class powers for battle. That set is the loadout. Earned passives and feats are always applied by the supported implementation. Only powers marked battle-ready can be placed in the loadout.

Talents, chosen with talent picks, are a separate specialisation track. They are listed on the progression page.
